Responsibilities

Liaison to the Orfalea College of Business and the College of Agriculture’s Agribusiness Department; create and implement value-added curriculum-driven digital learning environments; deliver high-level business research support to faculty, students and the Cal Poly community; support business programs through teaching; provide subject specialization in all areas of business and agribusiness including accounting, economics, finance, industrial technology, international business, law, management, and marketing; build curriculum-aligned collections that support college learning outcomes; provide leadership in the Library’s Web presence and digital branding strategies; serve on committees as needed; secure grants and other external funds; integrate and embed information competence and technology-driven educational tools into curricula; and initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with teaching faculty.

Before coming to Cal Poly, Mr. Vuotto was Business Librarian at Emory University's Goizueta Business Library in Atlanta, Georgia. The Goizueta Business School was recently ranked among the top-20 business schools in the United States.

Areas of Specialization: Competitive intelligence; marketing research; international trade data; government publications and resources; technology industries; Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy; and instructional design.
